The auction for the sale of 25.48% of shares (450 ordinary registered shares) in the Scientific Research, Planning and Surveying Institute Lenmetrogiprotrans is scheduled for 6 June.

Starting price of share package – 170 million rubles.

Auction step – 3 million rubles.

“The asset for sale is an example of a successful business in the planning and surveying sphere. The institute is unique in its field, and has invaluable personnel. It is a monopolist in developing documentation for planning and construction of the metropolitan, tunnels and ancillary infrastructure objects. At present, the institute is actively participating in developing planning and budget documentation for construction of Olympic objects in Sochi – tunnels and mountain objects.

“25.48% is a blocking share package, which will make it possible to receive reports from the society, and take part in management of the company. So we are sure that it will be of interest for purchase by an outside investor” (general director of the Auction House of the Russian Federation Andrei Stepanenko).

According to an evaluation report by the Avers company, the balance cost of assets of Lenmetrogiprotrans – 1.219 billion rubles. With a staff of 533 people, the company generates an income of 2.247 billion rubles (according to the data for 2012). It has one office in St. Petersburg on Bolshaya Moskovskaya ulitsa, with an area of 4,217 sq.m., and two offices on Chkalovsky pr. with a total area of 700 sq.m.

Lenmetrogiprotrans
Lenmetrogiprotrans is responsible for the thorough planning of metropolitans, tunnels and other underground and above-ground structures.
In 1984, by an order of the Ministry of Transport Construction, the institute was approved as the chief institute for the planning of mountain, railroad and vehicle tunnels.
According to the plans of Lenmetrogiprotrans, all the metropolitan stations in St. Petersburg and the line of the Novosibirsk and Kazan metropolitans were built, and metropolitan lines are being planned and built in Samara, Krasnoyarsk and Chelyabinsk. Additionally, according to the plans of Lenmetrogiprotrans and with its participation, vehicle and railroad tunnels have being built and are under construction, with a total length of around 150 km.

By the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation of 25 October 2010, the Auction House of the Russian Federation was authorized to organize auctions for the sale of federal property. By a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 31 January 2013 № 101-r, the Auction House of the Russian Federation was given 36 share packages of federal state enterprises for realization. All the objects are included in the Forecast plan (program) for privatization of federal property for 2011-2013.
