A block of shares of the company-designer of Kresty-2 detention centre is sold
On 2nd of April the Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHRF) on behalf of Rosimushchestvo (the Federal Agency for the State Property Management) held the auction for the sale of 100% block of shares of the OJSC Special Design and Survey Institute (SDSI), included in the Forecast Program of Privatization for the period of 2017-2019.
Two bidders took part in the auction.
The Winner – the LLC Energo Holding – purchased the Lot for the amount of 142.3 million rubles (the starting price was 142.2 million rubles).
“We are satisfied with the results. In spite of the fact, that the date of the auction was rescheduling a number of times, the assets failed to be sold at the first biddings, furthermore to a company of the same sector of industry. One of the Energo Holding activities is a design of engineering systems. It is necessary to note, that due to a difficult financial situation a bankruptcy procedure is implemented for the SDSI. I believe that coming of the new Owner will provide a return of the SDSI in the market of engineering and design surveys, and combination of many years experience of the institute and of the Energo Holding’s electric power industry developments will create a real synergy”, – comments Anzhelika Imanova, Deputy General Director of the AHRF.

The Special Design and Survey Institute has been working in the market of design for about 80 years. The main practice area – designing of objects of special purposes for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and for Federal Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Russia: for the police, the State Inspection for Road Traffic Safety (the State Traffic Police), the interior troops, institutions of penitentiary system, objects of fire department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and others. Besides, the Company is dynamically cooperates with private investors as part of design work.
In accordance with the records the SDSI’s revenue for 2016 was more than 24.3 million rubles.
The main assets of the Institute – the office building with an area of 3.8 thousand sq. m with a land plot with an area of 1.5 thousand sq. m in a historic part of Petersburg near Gorkovskaya subway station.
