Bidding for the sale of 51% of OJSC “Biopreparat” was held within the framework of privatization (Asset is included in the forecast plan of privatization for 2014–2016)
On 29 July 29 the Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHRF) sold at the auction the state-owned block of shares – 51% – of OJSC “Biopreparat”. The Buyer became a specialized pharmaceutical company – LLC “NC Pharm”.
Selling price – 23.5 million rubles.
Previous auctions organized by the Federal Property Management Agency on its own in June and September of 2014, were not held due to lack of applications. The price of block of shares then was 10.5 million rubles.
OJSC “Biopreparat” was created in 1994. The Company was engaged in scientific research in the field of space biotechnology.
The Auction House of the Russian Federation is included in the list of sellers of federal property by the Order of the Russian Federation Government of 25 October, 2010 № 1874-p. In 2013, the company transferred for sale the first tranche of state-owned blocks of shares of companies in different industries.
To date, the total amount of AHRF transactions in this sector is 5.0 billion rubles.
Currently the Company holds the auctions for the sale of federal blocks of shares of companies included in the forecast plan of privatization for 2014–2016 years.
The sale of these assets aims to significantly replenish the state treasury during the period of investment instability.
AHRF has considerable experience in the sale of state, federal and regional property. Within the framework of the privatization the Company cooperates with the Federal Government, with the governments of Moscow region, Kazan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra. Total amount of transaction of AHRF with state property (including federal and regional state-owned assets) is more than 45 billion rubles.
